Soccer!!

Last week, Carson started soccer with the YMCA. Despite how much Carson talked about soccer and was so excited about practice, he got really shy during the first practice and wouldn't participate at all. He had a huge support system there (Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Aunt Carrie, Erik, and Emily) and the only time he would participate at all is when cousin Erik would go out there with him. He spent most of the time playing soccer with all of us on the sidelines. Luckily, he made drastic improvements during the second practice. He was starting to act shy when we first got there, but his coach came up there and started talking to him and got him all excited. Carson started telling her how he was "super fast" and then he went out there and had a blast! We'll see how next week goes!

Vacation Bible School

This was Carson's first year to get to participate in the actual VBS program instead of just playing all day. He did very well. My mom and I taught the "Chadder's Theater" section and Carson though it was pretty funny that his mommy was also his teacher. Each day, the kids met in an auditorium and sang and danced to some songs. By the end of the week, Carson could sing along to parts of the songs and knew a few of the dance moves.

Splashing with Jude

We went visit Renee and Jude the other day. Renee had set up a little toddler paradise in her backyard with a swimming pool and a slip n slide. The boys had a ton of fun. Carson was definitely not ready to go home.

Trip to Dallas

Jessica and Austin flew in from Seattle so Chrissy, Rhianna, Carson, and I made a little rode trip to see them. Carson and Austin are both obsessed with super heros so that had lots of fun playing.

Swimming with the cousins

Yesterday, I took Carson, Erik, and Emily swimming at the city pool. They had so much fun. I think we'll go back again today!

Crystal Beach

Way back on May 1, we went to Crystal beach to check out my parent's new RV. Somehow, the pictures got lost and never made them on the blog. Carson had so much fun riding the ferry for his first time, playing at the beach with Steven Richard, and then doing some serious dancing when we went out to eat at the Stingaree.

Splash Party

We met some friends the other day for a splash party. They had a pool and slip n slide all set up for the kids. Carson had a lot of fun in the water!

Barbecue at Aunt Marianne's

Last Saturday, we went to a barbecue at Aunt Marianne's to celebrate Brandyn's graduation and Mike and Christine's marriage. Carson had a blast. He stayed in the pool for at least 2 hours! He also met these two little red-headed boys that he hunted for doodle bugs with. They were so cute together. He looked like he'd found his long lost family!

Dinos at the Zoo

We went to see the dinos at the zoo with a few of our friends. Carson loved it! We ended up going through the dino trail three times. The first time he was a little bit scared, although he still said every one of the dinosaurs was his "best friend." He even got to touch a model dinosaur tooth.
