Winterfest

On Saturday, we met Steven, Stephanie, and Steven Richard at winterfest. It was so much fun!

We rode the school bus shuttle over to winterfest. Carson kept his hands up while we went on a bridge like we were on a roller coaster. He said it was his lucky day to get to ride a school bus!!

Carson and Steven Richard had a blast throwing snowballs at Uncle Steve:

And riding the snow hill:

They rode ponies and did the carousel and loved the ball pit!!

Wyatt slept through most of the fun!

Can't wait for next year!!

Brothers!

Carson has been the best big brother ever so far. So much better than I could have ever anticipated! He is constantly giving Wyatt hugs, bringing him toys, calling Wyatt his best friend and telling Wyatt that he loves him. He introduces "Baby Wyatt" to all of his friends and family and to a few strangers that we've come across when we've been out and about. He is so proud of his baby brother. I just love these two little boys!!

Bath time!

What a difference six weeks makes!

This is Wyatt after his first bath at home (5 days old):

Now 6 weeks old! He really enjoys his nice warm baths!

Playtime!

Wyatt liked when Carson and Steven Richard joined him in his playmat!

Smiling!

Wyatt is starting to smile more and more!!

One month old

This is Wyatt on his one month birthday! He is such a handsome little man!

Phineas and Ferb!

Phineas, Ferb, and Perry the Platapus came to Juanito's! We met Granny, Grandaddy, Glenn, Amanda, and Addison there. Carson gave each of the characters a high five and then a hug! They also had face painting so Carson got a skull and crossbones. Supposedly, the Scooby Doo gang is coming next month so we will definitely be there for that!

Happy New Years!

On New Year's Eve, we met at Carson's friend, Xander's house, to celebrate the new year. The kids counted down at noon and then popped poppers! Carson loved the poppers. All day long after the party, he kept yelling "Happy new year!" Around 6:30, we were on our way to my mom and dad's to eat New Years Eve food and visit, and Carson fell asleep in the car and slept all night! Our whole family was asleep by 10! Happy new year!!

Merry Christmas!

We had a very fun Christmas. First, Carson and Wyatt got their Santa presents. Carson had a blast tearing through his presents. His big present from Santa was a powerwheels jeep.

Then we headed to my mom and dad's for a Christmas brunch. Carrie cooked some delicious food and everyone had fun visiting and opening gifts.

Finally, we headed over to Glenn and Amanda's to celebrate with Erik's family and as always, that was a blast! Wyatt got to meet his Gran-Granny for the first time and Carson had fun playing with his cousins and opening lots of gifts!!

It was a busy and very very fun Christmas!

Christmas baby!

We drove out to Rosenberg to look at Christmas lights in Pecan Grove. They have the best lights. First, we met at Steven and Stephanie's house to visit and eat lasagna. Yum! Stephanie got these adorable Santa hats for the kids. Carson and Steven Richard were not too interested in wearing the hats, but Wyatt sure did look cute in his hat!

Gingerbread party

Wyatt also got to attend his first gingerbread party. Carson and Steven Richard helped me build my house. Our house accidentally got destroyed a few time, but it was lots of fun. Carson had to try several tastes of our gingerbread house to make sure it tasted just right! He referred to it as his "batman house!"

Christmas at Ma and Pa's!

When Wyatt was 11 days old, he got to go to his first Christmas celebration at Ma and Pa's! We all had a very fun time. Carson loved opening his presents and walking down the street to play at the park with his cousins. Wyatt looked very cute in his reindeer shirt. We also enjoyed our annual Christmas tea party and game of apples to apples! I forgot to bring my camera so thanks to Erin for all these great pictures!

Wyatt's Nursery

We went with a nautical/pirate theme for Wyatt's nursery. We were initially planning on doing a pond animals theme, but when I saw this set, I loved it immediately!

Wyatt Charles Powell

Born December 8th, 11:35 pm
7lb 5 oz, 20 inches long

I started having occasional contractions during a quick trip to the zoo that afternoon with Stephanie, Carson, and Steven Richard. Around 7pm, while I was volunteering at church, they started becoming more regular, so I left early and Erik and I headed to the hospital. When I got there, I was 5-6cm dilated. I got the epidural (amazing!) and Wyatt was born at 11:35. I couldn't believe his full head of dark brown hair. He is such an adorable little guy and I fell in love immediately!

Carson was so excited to meet his baby brother and has done better with him than I ever could have imagined!! He just loves this little guy and is so proud of his baby brother!

Unfortunately, he developed jaundice and had to spend a day getting phototherapy so we were stuck in the hospital for four nights. But finally, he was ready to go home on December 11th. What a blessing he has been!
